Hello ... this is called negotiating. Every negotiator tries to shape the narrative to their advantage.

The Mail and most of the rest of the MSM do these kinds of 'shaping operations' all the time. Just like the BBC with its editing 'errors'.

The Mail does not mention that other 'Trump whisperers' - Meloni and Stubbs - are on their way to Washington to see if they can use their charm and golfing-prowess to whisper up some changes to the plan.
