Spotify claims that Meghan's plodcast series The Archers is a top-rated success justifying all the hype and money paid for it. The series is the first offering from MEH's new division named Stairwell (motto: Porro et Sursum) and first two 'dueling diva' episodes broadcast were:
- Trouble at Ambridge (starring Meghan and a mute tennis player)
- More Trouble at Ambridge (starring Meghan and a singer who had lost her voice)
Ambridge is set in a real-life mansion in Montecito, California but is really a symbol for any Royal Palace in Britain with its wacky upstairs, downstairs culture. A bit like Downton Abbey but tackier.
FNN has learned that that more fictional characters will be introduced into the series soon, such as the charming old enviromentalists Chas and Cams (straight out of The Good Life) and the noxious nouveaus who move into the mansion next door - Bill and Kate (straight out of To the Manor Born) .
BTW - A plodcast is a new kind of online offering that is the audio equivalent of watching paint dry. Nevertheless lots of people seem to be streaming plodcasts to listen to while doing the ironing, cutting their toenails or wondering whether to put another shilling in their electricity meter.
